Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Design, Supply and Installation of 30 Solar Powered Water Systems in Vanuatu DESIGN COMPONENT; a) Information Gathering and Data Collection: Selected suppliers will need to go to the selected community and gather all necessary data to develop the design of the SPWS. While some basic data will be provided, depending on what it is available at DoWR level, in order to correctly develop the design, further data will be needed and existing one will need to be crosschecked, playing a special attention to the existing borehole features b) Prepare system sizing for the site: The system must be designed and planned using computer-based tools that can closely model the irradiation, rainfall, power generated from the solar array and typical system performance in terms of volume. c) Water Quality test: A water quality test will be also needed and, depending on the results, a water treatment step could be envisaged (simple O&M is a must). All systems need to have a water meter at the borehole outlet. This step would be taken by all those suppliers interested in presenting an offer for the concerned lot(s). d) Design Parameters: All systems should be designed to withstand windspeeds up to 250 km/h (Cyclone Cat 4).Design elements should accomplish/fulfill the quality requirements documented in Annex I “Design Parameters of Solar/Irrigation Powered Water Systems” e) SPWS Design Process: should not take more than one (1) month f) SPWS Draft Design Submission/Presentation of draft designs to DoWR and NGEF - this stage may involve discussions and re-work so as to incorporate or address comments by DoWR and NGEF g) Approved SPWS: Final Designs and approval of final SPWS designs and BoQ by DoWR and NGEF SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION COMPONENT - according to approved design and specifications The deadline of submission of the EOIs is May 16, 2022 1600 Hrs Korean Standard Time (KST).
