  • Request for proposals are invited for Green Skills Training Program: Solar Photovoltaic Installation & Maintenance Technician Training in Jordan SCOPE OF WORK & PROPOSED ACTIVITIES: This assignment should achieve the following expected outcomes: β€’ 150 trainees (min. 50% refugees, 30% women, and 25% youth) in Amman, Irbid, Mafraq, and Zarqa have the skills and knowledge to install, operate, inspect, and maintain solar PV systems. β€’ Trainees receive solar PV certification from an accredited body to enhance their employability in the job market. β€’ Trainees are equipped to enter the job market as solar PV technicians, supporting Jordan's green transition. The service provider-s existing, accredited training curriculum must align with the following training requirements: β€’ Curriculum encompasses all necessary theoretical and practical components aligned with the Jordanian Professional Competency Standards and industry best practices. The approach should provide substantial investment in practical training. Below is the suggested ideal distribution: - Theory: 50% of hours of classroom instruction covering all stages of the Solar PV system. - Practical: 50% of hours of hands-on practical training, which includes both laboratory sessions and in-company/field-based training experience, including installation, operation, inspection, and maintenance of solar PV systems. β€’ The training content should cover a minimum of the following topics: o The fundamentals of solar electricity, photovoltaic technology, and necessary photovoltaic knowledge o The types and components of photovoltaic systems o Installation of photovoltaic solar systems o Preparation of the installation site for photovoltaic solar systems o Construction of the structure of photovoltaic solar systems o Installation of the electrical components of photovoltaic solar systems o Operational tests for photovoltaic solar systems o Necessary maintenance for photovoltaic solar systems The service provider must have existing, equipped training facilities available to undertake training delivery's theoretical and laboratory components and facilitate access to participation from across the project's geographical scope (Amman, Irbid, Mafraq, and Zarqa). Proposals must detail the facilities they will be using, including their locations, and confirm that these facilities are equipped for the training. Proposals must identify by whom their existing program is accredited. The implementation partner will be responsible for the following activities: A. Curriculum Review & Training Program Design: β€’ Design of training program in alignment with the participant target group and geographic requirements identified by GGGI (see below, B. Participant Recruitment). β€’ Review of existing curriculum and training program structure in consultation with GGGI and relevant stakeholders to ensure a gender-sensitive and inclusive approach. β€’ Demonstrate proof of program accreditation by a recognized and appropriate certification body. HOW TO OBTAIN THE DOCUMENTS: Documents can be accessed via the e-Green Procurement Portal by selecting β€˜View Details- on the relevant notice and then clicking the β€˜Tender Application- button. If you are a new supplier, you will be required to register your details. If you have an existing account, you will need to login to the portal. Please refer to the guidance documents under the 'Supplier Guidance' area of the portal for further information. ONLINE TENDER MANAGEMENT: Once in the Tender Management Area for the tender, there are five possible tabs: β€˜Tender-, 'Tender Documents', β€˜Correspondence-, β€˜Clarifications- and β€˜History-. Select the 2nd tab ('Tender Documents') where you will find useful information regarding the RFP. Scroll down to the heading β€˜Tender Documents Received- where you will be able to view / download the documents. OPTING IN & OPTING OUT: Please note that you may be required to β€˜Opt In- before you can start populating your response. The β€˜Opt Out- functionality will also be available throughout the duration of the tender process. Opting out will give you the option of declaring you no longer want to receive any further communication in relation to this tender along with the opportunity of providing comments and feedback for this decision. You can choose to β€˜Opt In- at any time during the tender process if you initially decided to β€˜Opt Out-. SUBMITTING YOUR RESPONSE VIA THE PORTAL: Please note that you may be required to β€˜Opt In- to be able to submit a response through the portal. Tenderers will be required to upload any mandatory Placeholders (i.e., specified documents) within the 'Tender Documents' tab. The ability to attach additional documents may also be available. Your proposal will not be submitted until you click 'Submit Return', located towards the bottom of the screen. On clicking 'Submit Return', you will receive a receipt confirming that your proposal has been submitted to GGGI. Please read Instructions on How to submit the Proposal.
