Due to its geographical disposition, Asia faces a pressing challenge of increasing cooling demand, i.e., the required energy for cooling buildings leading to increased GHG emissions. Energy consumed by the building sector accounts for nearly half of a country's total energy use, with embedded carbon (from construction materials) causing an increase in total emissions by almost 10%. The Asia Low Carbon Building Transition (ALCBT) Project aims to revolutionize the building sector by promoting sustainable practices and reducing the carbon footprint of the building sector.
